XR:LINE - Analog audio receiver

With the XR:LINE Receiver you can receive an audio stereo signal loss-free up to 300m from an analog (XT:LINE) audio transmitter. ✘ (Power supply unit not included)
Audio receiver to receive audio signals over 300m

What you need to know about the XR:LINE

The trivum audio extender devices are professional solutions for transmitting audio signals over long distances using standard network cables.

The trivum XR:LINE is an audio receiver with analog outputs. In combination with the optionally available XT:LINE, you can, for example, transmit the sound from a TV or CD player to the equipment room using a CAT cable. There, the trivum XR:LINE receiver then passes the audio signal on to an amplifier or multi-room system. If the source or a control device provides a trigger signal, this signal is passed on to the receiver.

  • Extends analog audio signals up to 300m via standard network cable
  • Trigger output with 12V and 85mA power
  • LED to indicate the operating status
  • Requires a trivum XT-LINE adapter as audio transmitter for operation
  • Only one power supply unit must be used. This can be plugged into the receiver or transmitter

Features of the XR:LINE

The trivum audio extender solution has the following advantages over direct connections (simple adapters or adapters with galvanic isolation):

  • up to 300 meters
The active symmetrical transmission of the signals (audio + trigger + power supply) is the basis of the trivum Audio Extender solution.
  • Interference-free
The principle of balanced audio transmission minimizes noise caused by interference in the cable path. This complex technical solution is now standard in many studios due to its advantages.
  • Hum-free
The active galvanic isolation of the transmitter and receiver prevents hum loops caused by potential differences.
  • Neutral sound
In contrast to the solution using passive galvanic isolation with transformers, the trivum solution has a better sound because transformers change the sound image and cut or distort the frequency response. The OP amps used in the active trivum extenders are technically far superior to the passive solution.
  • No time delay
In contrast to products that work via IP networks, the trivum solution has no delay. IP solutions (wireless or cable) have to digitize the audio signal, then transmit the data in packets over the network, then reassemble it in a buffer and finally convert it into an audio signal. This takes too long to transmit lip-synchronized TV sound, for example.
  • With trigger signal
A trigger signal is passed potential-free from the transmitter to the receiver. The voltage is adjusted to 12V. The trigger input reacts with high impedance to voltages between 5V and 24V. The trigger signal is then available at the receiver with a load of 12V / 80mA.
  • Unproblematic placement
In contrast to passive galvanic isolation using transformers, the trivum solution is not magnetically susceptible to interference. The adapter can therefore be placed anywhere, even in the vicinity of power supply units.

Analog Audio Extender Set
Audio extender set to transmit analog audio signals 300m What you need to know about the Audio Extender Set The trivum Audio Extender Set is a professional solution for transmitting analog audio signals over long distances using standard network cables. The set consists of 3 parts: Audio Transmitter XT:LINE Audio Receiver XR:LINE Power supply unit You can find a detailed description of the individual products as links in the 'Contents' tab or simply click on the list above. Groundlift switchGroundlift prevents ground loops as it separates the signal ground of the transmitter and receiver. Groundlift should therefore be active by default. In rare cases, however, it may be helpful not to activate Groundlift: If excessive interference is not produced by ground loops. This interference (whistling, humming, rattling) is caused by unclean switching power supplies or plug-in power supplies without earthing. Unproblematic placementIn contrast to passive galvanic isolation using transformers, the trivum solution is not magnetically susceptible to interference.
