1. Set quiet times in the Multiroom Audio System
1.1. What problem does Advanced Timers solve?
Normal timers (the zone Alarm settings) switch music on and sometimes off again at certain times on certain days. trivum multiroom systems enable 2 such timers per zone.
However, especially for outdoor areas and children’s rooms, there can also be the task of switching off areas at certain times, leaving them switched off or limiting the volume.
-
Children’s room
If children/teenagers are supposed to study or sleep at certain times, for example, then a trivum system in these areas can keep the zones switched off at certain times. And later in the evening the volume can be limited so as not to disturb other people who may be sleeping.
-
Outside areas
Especially here, because of the neighbors, it is necessary to automatically lower the volume in the outdoor areas or safely switch off the music for a certain time. Forgotten music in the garden can no longer disturb the neighbors.
1.2. How does trivum implement Advanced Timers?
trivum uses 2 advanced timers per zone. We call them
-
Afternoon Quiet Time
-
Nightly Quiet Time
The 2 timers make it possible to limit the volume for a period of time, to switch off the zone once or to leave the zone compulsively switched off for some time.
1.3. Benefits of Advanced Timers
Depending on the application, it enables you to comply with rules that are important to you: rest periods for children or sparing your neighbors' nerves.
1.4. How can you customize Advanced Timers?
Each timer has the following settings:
-
StartTime
-
EndTime
-
Actions
-
turn off once
-
limit volume once
-
force zone to be off
-
force limited volume
-
1.5. What are the limitations of Advanced Timers?
There are no known problems / limitations.
