1.1. What is Control4?

Control4 is an American manufacturer of automation solutions.
A Control4 installation integrates devices from many different companies.

With the trivum RTI Interface there is an alternative interface to automation solutions based on RTI.

With the trivum URC Interface there is an alternative interface to automation solutions based on URC.

1.2. What problem does the Control4 Interface solve?

It allows you to use e.g. your Control4 remote control to start music in your living room. The Control4 driver adds your trivum system to the Control4 menu with the option to control status of the music in a zone, search for music or e.g. listen to your favorite music stations.

1.3. How does trivum implement the Control4 Interface?

trivum is a development partner of Control4. We wrote a Control4 driver using the SDK of Control4. We provide 2 drivers - one for the overall system control, and one for zone control. It is installed the same way as other Control4 drivers. Please refer to your Control4 documentation or ask your Control4 dealer/partner to install the trivum drivers. The driver is available on our website (products / software download).

1.4. Advantages of the Control4 Interface

The driver adds trivum music control to the Control4 remote controls or wall panels. Control4 is used to control many different parts of a house using just one App / remote control.

1.5. How can you customize the Control4 Interface?

There are not many options available. This is an advantage of Control4 installations, because all the different controlled systems represents theirselves in the same UI style.
