1.1. What problem does the Scheduler solve?

Sometimes it is helpful to treat events exactly as a calendar should. You can enter individual actions days in advance, make the repetitions more variable and you have the advantage that the events are all clearly displayed in a calendar view and can be changed directly.

An event can be any trivum Action, i.e. music control, light control or control of devices/sequences via macros.

1.2. How does trivum implement the Scheduler?

The Scheduler can be found as an element under Automation and must be activated in the Features area.

The scheduler looks like a calendar: with month view, week view and day view. With a simple click on a time of day, the event can be easily configured in a dialog.

Individual events can be activated/deactivated and the entire scheduler can be activated/deactivated using KNX telegrams.

1.3. Benefits of the Scheduler

The scheduler is much more flexible and powerful than normal timers/alarm clocks. The simple and clear presentation enables comprehensive planning of control tasks within the trivum system.

1.4. How can you customize the Scheduler?

Each event has the following parameters:

  • Zone

  • Selection of trivum action

  • optional Volume

  • Time and date of the event

  • Type of repetition

    • Daily

    • Weekly

    • Per month

    • Annually

    • On selected days of the week

  • Active/Inactive

  • KNX group address for activation/deactivation

1.5. What are the limitations of the Scheduler?

Please note that trivum offers additional timers per zone in addition to the scheduler:

  • 2 alarm timers per zone to activate music for a specific time

  • 2 advanced timers, e.g. to ensure nighttime rest in outdoor areas.

For the daily alarm clock in a zone you should use the zone alarm timer.
